Mid-Western NSW (Zone 4) has taken the spoils in the 2021 NSW Junior Inter-Zone 7-A-Side Championship at Club Dubbo.

The local Zone took out the overall Championship ahead of Greater Western Sydney (Zone 5) and Central Coast (Zone 15).

The Champion Zone award is calculated based on the performance of each of the disciplines.

Central Coast’s  (Zone 15) Bailey Meti claimed the prized Gold Medal in the Singles Discipline, beating Nicholas Tyce (South Eastern NSW, Zone 7) while Jack McShane (Sydney North-West, Zone 10) took Bronze.

Bradley Farlow & Katie Astley (Zone 5) claimed the Pairs Gold, beating Rhys Hughes and James Robinson (Zone 4) in the final. Sydney South-Western (Zone 12) combination Jasmine Smith and Ryan Klem claimed the Bronze.

Mid-Western NSW claimed gold in the Fours with Tom Ashley, Sam Bowman, Cooper McMullen & Tom Rich beating Greater Western Sydney’s Alexander Robinson, Samuel McGoogan, Liam Kirk and Jack Mcewen-Gillespie. The North Western NSW (Zone 3) team of Lucy Hooker, Hunter Doring, Dustyn Allen and Zoe Stewart took the Bronze Medal.

Club Dubbo proved to, once again, be magnificent hosts of the Championships and the pre-event training session conducted by new National Coach Gary Willis, new National Assistant Coach Karen Murphy and NSW Junior Committee members Sharyn Renshaw, Gavin Holburn and John Rodis. Also assisting coaching was former Australian star Michael Wilks.

The event will return to Club Dubbo in 2022.
